The service
True Size Of is a free tool for comparing the real areas of countries on an interactive map. It is provided for education and general interest; it is not a surveying or legal reference.
Data and accuracy
Country outlines come from Natural Earth and map tiles from OpenStreetMap contributors. Areas are computed from those outlines and may differ slightly from official figures. Borders are shown as published by those sources and do not express any position on territorial disputes.
Acceptable use
- Do not interfere with the operation or security of the site.
- Do not scrape the site or its data at a rate that burdens the service or the tile providers.
- Do not use the site for any unlawful purpose.
Intellectual property
The site's code, text and design are owned by True Size Of. Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL) and Natural Earth (public domain). You are welcome to share links and screenshots of comparisons with attribution.
No warranty
The site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, True Size Of is not liable for any damages arising from its use.
